Just figured you all, particularly my PA folks, could take a look. Michelle McMullen’s family is desperately trying to find her. A quick glance can’t hurt and you never know, maybe a familiar face turns out to be a missing person.
Michelle McMullen, 27, of Harrisburg, was returning to Grambling University in Louisiana last Sunday when she disappeared. City police, her family and friends are asking for anyone who might have seen her to let them know.
Her father, Muchael McMullen, said Michelle had returned to Harrisburg to drop off her 6-year-old son, Jayden, for her family to care for while she earned her degree. She left to return to school between 8 and 9 p.m. Sunday, driving a 2002 black Honda Accord with license plate number GMF-5010. She seemed excited about returning to school, and had chatted happily on her cell phone with a girlfriend at 9:04 that night, her father said.
Since then, she has not used her cell phone, her debit card or been in contact with family or friends, he said. Harrisburg police have distributed her photo and information to police between Harrisburg and Louisiana, according to Michael McMullen. She has not been seen at her school, where she was majoring in business, or her place of work.
Michael McMullen said she showed no signs of depression and he knew of no one who would want to hurt her. She was subject to severe migraines that sometimes caused her to pass out. Her son, Jayden, called 9-1-1 about a year ago when she passed out on the floor.
“We don’t dismiss that this might have been a medical mishap,” her father said.
Michelle McMullen has been very involved with her church, Bethel AME, and with volunteer activities in the Harrisburg area. Her parents, Michael and Rev. Lillie McMullen, have a resource center for the religious community called Churchworld Plus.
Michelle McMullen is 5 feet 3 inches tall, about 150 pounds with wavy hair and was last seen wearing blue jeans and a white T-shirt.
Anyone with information is asked to call city police at 255-3131 or her parents at 443-6441, 943-0098 or 238-1000.*
